Freedom Empowerment Academy, a new initiative in Lower Merion Township, offers an immersive learning experience celebrating African and African‑American history and culture. Through engaging, interactive eight‑week courses held on Saturday mornings at Haverford College, students dive into topics like African diversity and the African Diaspora. By blending storytelling, hands‑on projects, and discussion, the academy nurtures cultural pride, critical thinking, and a sense of empowerment grounded in heritage.
