The Common Place (TCP) is a beacon of light at the corner of 58th Street & Chester Avenue in SW Philadelphia. Located within Salt and Light Church, it serves as a community hub for over 20,000 people. TCP offers STEM classes, faith formation, and social service collaboration for children and families. From the After-School Program, Saturday enrichment offerings, and the 8-week SW Arts and Technology (SWAT) summer camp, it offers a safe space for children to grow. Last summer, TCP cultivated gardens at multiple locations, producing 750 pounds of produce (kale, tomatoes, eggplant, onions, potatoes, and carrots) to supplement diets within the community.
